The position offers competitive pay ranging from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, with a bi-weekly pay schedule and work hours from Monday to Friday, with dispatch duties occurring between 2 and 5 am.

The Driver Trainee role is entry-level, designed to train individuals in operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on various routes including intrastate, interstate, local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight deliveries. This role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and excellent customer service. As a Driver Trainee, the individual will participate in structured training programs such as the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program. Training includes hands-on experience riding with and assisting experienced drivers, learning to perform all required safety inspections, and understanding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies regarding safe driving practices. The trainee is responsible for verifying and securing freight, loading and unloading products, maintaining accurate delivery paperwork, and interacting with customers professionally to ensure smooth delivery operations.

This role requires the trainee to develop competencies in managing freight securely, conducting damage control, and handling customer returns efficiently. The position demands physical capability to handle freight of varying sizes, including lifting and utilizing tools like two-wheelers and lift gates. Accurate record-keeping is essential, including daily hours of service in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Regular housekeeping duties related to the tractor and trailers are also part of the role.
