The position available is an entry-level Driver Trainee role that offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals interested in beginning a career in commercial driving within the foodservice distribution industry. This role is essential in supporting America’s food distribution system and offers competitive pay ranging from $60,000 to $65,000 annually with bi-weekly paychecks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with dispatch times between 2 and 5 am, aligning with the company's commitment to reliable and timely delivery services.

As a Driver Trainee, the individual will be responsible for learning to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks both intrastate and interstate on various routes including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight deliveries. The role emphasizes safety and compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. The trainee will participate in training programs such as the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program, working closely with a driver trainer to gain practical experience on delivery routes. Responsibilities include performing safety checks on vehicles, inspecting trailers and freight for secure loading, accurately completing delivery paperwork, unloading and verifying orders, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
