Job Description

Performance Food Group is a leading broadline food distributor dedicated to supporting the evolving needs of the foodservice industry across America. Our company prides itself on supplying a diverse range of high-quality food products to various local customers including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. We operate with a clear mission to enable our customers to achieve operational excellence, menu innovation, and overall business growth by providing expert consulting, reliable product selection, and exceptional service. As an employer, Performance Food Group is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace by providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.

We are currently seeking dedicated CDL-A Drivers to join our team with a Monday through Friday schedule and an early morning start. This role offers competitive pay along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply) and comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including health and wellness coverage, an employee stock purchase plan, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and many other benefits that promote long-term growth and stability.

As a CDL-A Driver at Performance Food Group, you will play a crucial role in the country's food supply chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders safely, on time, and in excellent condition. Your responsibilities will involve driving tractor-trailers or straight trucks over intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to both company policies and Department of Transportation regulations. Beyond merely transportation, you will be the face of Performance Food Group to our valued customers, building trusted, lasting relationships through professional communication and exceptional service.

In this role, you will conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment, secure and verify freight loads, handle invoicing and paperwork meticulously, and safely unload deliveries. You will be expected to maintain a clean and orderly work environment, manage records of hours of service according to federal and state regulations, and take proactive measures to address any safety hazards encountered on the road or during deliveries. Your ability to operate equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates will be essential to maneuver diverse product cases effectively.

Performance Food Group offers ongoing training and advancement opportunities, ensuring that motivated employees can develop their careers within a supportive and dynamic company. If you are a safety-conscious professional with a valid CDL-A license and a passion for service excellence, we encourage you to consider joining our team, where your work supports essential industries and contributes to food security nationwide.
