Job Description

Our client is a reputable regional dry van carrier specializing in freight transportation across Texas, Oklahoma, the Southeast, the Midwest, and the Northeast United States. Known for their efficient and customer-centric service, this company has established itself as a reliable partner in the logistics and transportation industry. Operating primarily with dry van freight that is 100% no-touch, the carrier emphasizes driver comfort and efficiency through a majority of drop and hook deliveries. This means drivers can expect a streamlined loading and unloading process, minimizing wait times and maximizing their on-road productivity.

As a driver with this carrier, you will be responsible for transporting freight within a vast geographic footprint that includes several key regions across the country. The role is regionally focused but also offers competitive weekly pay that averages between $1300 and $1700, depending on the miles driven and the areas covered. Notably, all deliveries in the Northeast carry an additional premium of $0.25 cents per mile on top of the base rate, enhancing earning potential for drivers servicing this region.

This carrier places a strong emphasis on work-life balance, offering opportunities for drivers to be home every week. Drivers take their assigned truck and trailer home with them, but they must have adequate space to accommodate both since the trailer must remain attached at all times. The company also values driver satisfaction by allowing riders after 30 days of employment and welcoming pets on board from day one, subject to breed restrictions and weight limits under 50 lbs.

Orientation is paid at $250, provided drivers complete the required online training. The company prides itself on maintaining steady freight levels with minimal broker freight, fostering a stable and consistent work environment. Additionally, there is no forced dispatch to New York City or Long Island, although deliveries to these locations offer an additional $125 bonus. Drivers can expect to average between 2150 to 2800 miles per week, with pay increases available as mileage thresholds are met monthly.

The company offers a competitive pay structure starting at a base rate of $0.53 per mile, with incremental bonuses for drivers reaching mileage milestones—$0.03 CPM bonus at 9,000 miles, $0.06 CPM at 10,000 miles, and $0.09 CPM at 11,000 miles. All drivers enjoy comprehensive benefits starting after 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Employees become eligible for the 401(k) plan after 90 days. Vacation pay is based on the driver’s average earnings over the previous 52 weeks, further supporting financial stability.

This role requires candidates to maintain high safety and compliance standards. Drivers must hold a valid Class A CDL from their current state of residence and have a minimum of one full year of Class A over-the-road (OTR) or regional driving experience within the last three years, or two full years within the last five years. The company enforces strict hiring criteria, including limits on the number of previous jobs, moving violations, and accidents. Importantly, drivers who have failed or refused a DOT drug test are not eligible for hire under any circumstances.

In summary, this driving opportunity offers a competitive paycheck, supportive benefits, and a respectful work environment with a focus on safety, reliability, and driver satisfaction. It is ideal for experienced CDL Class A drivers seeking regional routes with guaranteed home time, steady freight, and the ability to transport riders and pets. If you value a professional carrier that understands driver needs and provides steady work without overhiring, this could be the perfect place to advance your driving career.
