The role of Food and Food Service Delivery Driver at Core-Mark is vital to the country's food supply chain. Delivery drivers work on the front lines ensuring that customers' products arrive on time and in good condition, representing the company and building lasting relationships with customers. This position requires driving expertise, adherence to strict Department of Transportation regulations, and a focus on safety and customer service. Drivers operate on a 4-day workweek schedule, with dispatch times typically between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM, providing flexibility while operating vehicles that meet company safety standards. Responsibilities include loading and unloading freight, performing damage control checks, securing loads, and ensuring proper care and handling of all products throughout the delivery process. Drivers must be proficient in using onboard computer and electronic log systems, such as PeopleNet, and hand-held point of delivery scanning systems to track deliveries and returns accurately.

This position offers a competitive wage of $26 per hour and opportunities for growth within a company that is an industry leader. Applicants must hold a valid CDL-A license and be at least 21 years old, with at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. Additional requirements include a clean motor vehicle report for the past three years, passage of post-offer drug and criminal background checks, and the ability to obtain or maintain a DOT health card. Physical demands include lifting product cases typically ranging from 10 to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 60 to 90 pounds, requiring the use of equipment like lift gates and two-wheelers.

Preferred qualifications include experience in foodservice distribution, familiarity with onboard computer systems and electronic logging, and customer service experience. As a company, Core-Mark supports equal employment opportunity, providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities and maintaining compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Joining Core-Mark as a delivery driver means becoming part of a respected team dedicated to excellence in food distribution and customer satisfaction.
