Job Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Load and unload experience of at least 2 years
- Possession of Class A CDL with at least 2 years driving experience
- Full understanding and compliance with DOT regulations
- Minimum 1-2 years flatbed driving experience
- Must hold a valid commercial driver’s license for the vehicle operated
- Current medical examiner’s card
- Ability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility for weekend schedules
- Ability to pass background check and drug testing
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to climb in and out of the truck cab and secure loads with chains and binders
Job Qualifications
- Class A CDL license
- Minimum 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience
- Minimum 2 years load and unload experience
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and guidelines
- Minimum 1-2 years flatbed experience
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Valid current medical examiner’s card
- Proven ability to operate heavy tractor-trailers safely
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures
Job Duties
- Delivery will be primarily to construction sites
- Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo and other materials
- Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- Delivers documentation to shipping office or appropriate staff upon completion of delivery route
- Facilitates routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air
- Reports maintenance malfunctions to fleet mechanics
- Drive local distances
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep an electronic log of activities
- Maintain truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order
- Perform other duties as assigned within the fleet department
