The CDL-A Driver position at Performance Foodservice plays a critical role within the country’s food supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and food-service products to customers. This full-time role requires the driver to operate tractor trailers and straight trucks across interstate and intrastate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, and drive-and-drop assignments. The job site is based out of Glen Allen, VA, with dispatch times scheduled Monday through Friday between 2 am and 6 am, reflecting the essential early-morning nature of the work. In exchange for their expertise and dedication, drivers receive an average annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 depending on experience.

The CDL-A Driver is responsible for performing comprehensive safety checks before and after trips, ensuring that vehicles comply with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety standards.
