Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Have valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
- Able to hand-lift between 10-35 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds
- Able to use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment for moving and stacking products.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Valid current DOT health card or ability to secure one
- Experience operating onboard computer and electronic log systems preferred
- Experience with hand-held point of delivery scanning systems preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of state licensing and certification requirements where applicable.
Job Duties
- Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products safely and on time
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspect tractor, truck, and trailer to ensure they meet safety standards and report any required repairs
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Load and unload products at customer locations, performing damage control and verifying deliveries with customers obtaining signatures
- Complete accurate paperwork associated with freight and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tractor, trailers, and loading dock area
- Secure equipment and freight to prevent theft or damage
- Collect payments where required and reconcile customer returns
- Complete daily records of hours of service and comply with federal and state regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support company operations.
