Job Description

Core-Mark is currently seeking dedicated Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers who play an essential role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the country's food supply system. The position offers competitive pay, with salary ranges between $75,000 and $85,000, and includes one overnight shift per week. Drivers will be based at the Glenwillow, OH location and operate Monday through Friday, with dispatch hours between 4 am and 6 am. The ability to operate various equipment such as lift gates and two-wheelers is required, as product weights may vary from 10 to 90 pounds. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Have valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
- Able to hand-lift between 10-35 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds
- Able to use two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment for moving and stacking products.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Valid current DOT health card or ability to secure one
- Experience operating onboard computer and electronic log systems preferred
- Experience with hand-held point of delivery scanning systems preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of state licensing and certification requirements where applicable.
Job Duties
- Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products safely and on time
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspect tractor, truck, and trailer to ensure they meet safety standards and report any required repairs
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Load and unload products at customer locations, performing damage control and verifying deliveries with customers obtaining signatures
- Complete accurate paperwork associated with freight and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tractor, trailers, and loading dock area
- Secure equipment and freight to prevent theft or damage
- Collect payments where required and reconcile customer returns
- Complete daily records of hours of service and comply with federal and state regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support company operations.
