The Food and Food Service Delivery Driver position is a pivotal role within the company’s supply chain operations. This role involves the critical responsibility of transporting food and related products to customers, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining outstanding customer service. Drivers act as the face of Core-Mark, developing long-term, positive relationships with clients and representing the company’s commitment to excellence. This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with one overnight trip per week, working mainly from the Glenwillow, Ohio location, offering predictable shifts with a dispatch window from 4 am to 6 am. Walk-ins for the application process are welcomed and supported by on-site assistance.
As a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver, the incumbent will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes. The job duties necessitate strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols to ensure secure handling and transport of goods. Responsibilities include thorough safety inspections before and after trips, proper loading and securing of freight, accurate completion of paperwork, damage control, and customer interactions. Drivers also manage the physical demands of unloading items ranging typically between 10 to 90 pounds and must be proficient in the use of equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.
This multifaceted role requires a high level of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork. Drivers collaborate closely with customers, vendors, and colleagues to answer inquiries and resolve issues promptly. They also maintain detailed records of driving hours, perform general housekeeping on equipment and loading areas, and participate in all safety and quality standards compliance. The position demands a clean motor vehicle record, valid commercial driving licenses, and compliance with all health and regulatory requirements to promote a secure operational environment.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent
- minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- 21 years of age or older
- meet state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle record for 3 years
- pass drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attain or hold valid DOT health card
- physically able to lift and operate related equipment

Job Duties

- complete and maintain accurate delivery paperwork

- interact professionally with customers to verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and collect payments when necessary
