Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
- one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse and understand highway signs
- insurable to operate vehicles
- ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 350 pounds
- availability to work overnight shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
- ability to maintain required paperwork and reports
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree preferred
- one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted
- valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License required
- ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- knowledge of DOT regulations and hazmat guidelines
- skilled in driving long distances and in varying weather conditions
- ability to operate 3 axle tractor, 45’ - 48’ trailer, and associated equipment
Job Duties
- Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location according to assigned route
- unloads product by hand or using hand cart in various weather conditions
- picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns
- completes all paperwork according to company and governmental guidelines including DOT logs and maintenance reports
- ensures all food safety protocols are met and maintains sanitary conditions
- operates all assigned equipment safely
- develops and maintains good customer relationships through excellent service
- communicates route deviations or issues to management
- transports product picked up via backhauls and line hauls
- works assigned schedules including overtime and weekends as needed
