Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Over one year of experience driving tractor/trailer
- Possession of a valid CDL-A license
- Compliance with all applicable state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for at least three years
- Successful completion of a road test
- Valid DOT health card or ability to obtain one
- Physical ability to lift and move products generally ranging from 10 to 90 pounds using equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates
- Availability to work early morning shifts starting at 5 AM
- Ability to work Wednesdays and weekends off
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of tractor/trailer driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Meets all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past three years
- Passes road test
- Has or can obtain a valid DOT health card
- Able to handle manual lifting and use equipment to move and stack product cases weighing 10 to 90 pounds depending on location
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer
- Inspects tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and reports all safety issues
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Reports all safety hazards immediately and inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items, verifies customer invoices, and completes all required paperwork accurately
- Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives and delivers customer orders according to the delivery schedule, unloads products, and transports items to designated storage areas
- Performs damage control checks, scans items, communicates with supervisor about removing orders, verifies deliveries with customers, and collects payments where required
- Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- Unloads damaged goods, completes necessary paperwork, and maintains cleanliness of tractor, dock, and trailer areas
- Completes daily record of hours and enters logs as per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
