As the largest and most comprehensive marketer of consumer goods in North America, Core-Mark supports convenience operators across the U.S. and Canada by offering a wide range of products, programs, and innovative solutions. The company's commitment to empowering customers, employees, and communities has cemented its reputation as an industry leader. The position available is for Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers who play a crucial role in the country’s food supply chain. These drivers are responsible not just for the safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products, but also for representing Core-Mark as the face of the company by building lasting relationships with customers. This full-time role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, from 2:00 AM to 12:30 PM, emphasizing reliability and dedication during daily routes.

The role involves operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes including intrastate and interstate local deliveries, shuttle assignments, and overnight routes. Drivers must adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as well as company safety protocols to ensure secure and efficient transport and delivery of products. Responsibilities include performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, verifying load security, managing documentation accurately, and engaging with customers professionally to confirm deliveries and obtain signatures while addressing any concerns related to product condition or order accuracy.

Delivery Drivers also handle the loading and unloading of freight, use equipment such as lift gates and two-wheelers for moving and stacking product cases, and maintain cleanliness and organization in trailers and loading dock areas. Handling cash or check collections may also be required. The role demands physical capability as product cases can weigh between 10 to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 60 to 90 pounds, thus requiring drivers to be fit for manual handling and use of equipment.

Core-Mark values drivers with relevant experience, a clean driving record, a valid CDL-A license, and compliance with all state licensing and DOT health requirements. Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork is essential to the role, and employees are expected to work cooperatively within the department and the larger organization to meet company goals efficiently. Overall, this role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking stable employment with opportunities for growth in a vital sector of the food distribution industry, backed by a trusted company known for its comprehensive employee benefits and diverse work environment.
