Known for its commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and recognition, the company supports its workforce with a safe and supportive environment that underscores its dedication to employee well-being and growth.
Core-Mark is currently seeking experienced and dependable Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers to join its vital operations team. These drivers play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the food supply chain in America by ensuring that customer orders arrive safely, on schedule, and in excellent condition. This position is not simply about transportation; it represents the frontline connection between Core-Mark and its valued customers. Delivery Drivers are expected to build strong relationships through professional and courteous service, embodying the company’s values with every delivery.
The hourly CDL-A Driver operates either a tractor-trailer or a straight truck on various routes including intrastate and interstate assignments, local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR) routes, shuttle operations, and overnight routes, ensuring timely food and food-related product deliveries. The role demands a commitment to stringent safety and regulatory standards, compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and the maintenance of high-quality customer interactions.
Compensation includes competitive pay up to $3,600 biweekly, supplemented by monthly and annual bonuses, and the benefit of a 4-day workweek starting at 5:00 AM. Core-Mark also provides comprehensive benefits from day one, including health and wellness plans, a 401K with employer matching, employee stock purchase plans, education assistance, paid time off, and much more, emphasizing the company’s commitment to its team’s financial and personal growth.
Primary responsibilities include conducting thorough safety inspections of vehicles and trailers, adhering to all DOT safety protocols, accurately verifying and documenting product counts and condition during loading and delivery, managing customer interaction with professionalism, and performing essential post-delivery duties such as unloading, damage assessments, and paperwork completion. Drivers must efficiently operate equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to handle product cases, some of which require significant physical effort.
With its expansive network and firm dedication to equity and inclusion, Core-Mark offers a supportive environment that champions employee diversity and ensures equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, gender identity, or other protected characteristics. The company’s transparent policies guarantee fair treatment and equal pay, reinforcing its role as an employer of choice in the retail and distribution landscape.
