The role of Food and Food Service Delivery Driver at Core-Mark is essential to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of America’s food distribution system. As a CDL-A Driver with Core-Mark, you will operate tractor trailers or straight trucks both intra and interstate, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes. Your responsibilities extend beyond driving; you are accountable for the safe delivery and unloading of food products following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. You must perform safety inspections, handle paperwork accurately, interact professionally with customers and coworkers, and ensure timely delivery with the utmost care for the integrity of the freight.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- must be 21 years or older
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- valid DOT health card or ability to obtain
- able to hand-lift products ranging from approximately 10 to 90 pounds
- able to utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and other equipment for moving freight
Job Qualifications

- attain or have valid current DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and utilize equipment for moving product cases of varying weights
Job Duties
- perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action
- report all safety issues and repairs required
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded
- complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about removing orders
- verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- collect money where required
- load customer returns on trailer and secure trailer doors
- ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- perform housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean
- complete daily record of hours of service and enter log according to federal, state, and company requirements
- secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of shift
- perform other related duties as assigned
