Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license and at least 21 years of age
- Meet all applicable state licensing or certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for last three years
- Pass post offer drug screening and background check
- Pass road test
- Must have or be able to obtain valid DOT Health Card
- Physical ability to lift and move product cases weighing between 10 and 90 pounds
- Ability to operate equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle record for past three years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or possess valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure one
- Ability to hand-lift and operate equipment to move and stack product cases weighing 10 to 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor, truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Inspect tractor, truck and trailer to ensure compliance with company safety standards and report any issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- Report all safety hazards immediately
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
- Accurately complete all paperwork associated with freight
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as necessary
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route and schedule
- Unload products from trailer and transport to customer storage areas
- Conduct damage control checks on items, scan and report to supervisor for any order removals
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform general housekeeping in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clean
- Complete daily hours of service records and log in compliance with Federal DOT and state requirements
- Secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
