The Delivery Driver role at Core-Mark is essential to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the food supply chain. These drivers are responsible for transporting food and food-service products safely and reliably to customers on intrastate and interstate routes. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, with availability for both AM and PM shifts, providing candidates with flexibility. This role involves operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks and requires adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including thorough vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 21 years old
  • valid CDL-A license
  • minimum 1 year commercial route delivery experience
  • clean motor vehicle record for past 3 years
  • able to pass drug test and background check
  • valid or obtainable DOT health card
  • ability to lift and handle freight weighing up to 90 pounds
  • must comply with DOT and state regulations
  • willingness to work Tuesday through Saturday schedule
  • available for AM or PM shifts

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • valid CDL-A license
  • minimum 1 year route delivery experience with commercial motor vehicle
  • compliant with state licensing or certification requirements
  • clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • pass road test
  • possess valid DOT health card or able to secure one
  • ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move freight ranging from 10 to 90 pounds

Job Duties

  • perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections according to DOT regulations
  • inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure company safety standards are met and report repairs
  • immediately report all safety hazards
  • inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • perform count check of items and check customer invoices
  • complete all required paperwork accurately
  • move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • drive to and deliver customer orders following predetermined routes
  • unload products and transport items into customer storage areas
  • perform damage control checks and contact supervisor about order issues
  • verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures
  • collect payments when required
  • load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • complete daily hours of service logs per DOT, state, and company guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness in tractor and loading dock areas
  • perform other related duties as assigned
