The Delivery Driver position at Core-Mark is a vital role within the company's operations, tasked with ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products. Drivers act as the company’s representatives, building strong customer relationships by providing reliable and professional service. This role primarily involves operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks to transport products under both intrastate and interstate regulations, adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Drivers follow predetermined routes and schedules, performing necessary inspections and safety checks of vehicles before and after trips, and maintaining detailed and accurate paperwork related to freight and deliveries. Responsibilities extend to loading and unloading shipments, performing damage control, collecting payments where required, and ensuring the security of both vehicle and cargo during transport and at delivery points.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid CDL-A license and must be 21 years or older
- One plus years of route delivery experience in a CMV
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure one
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid CDL-A license and must be 21 years of age or older
- One or more years of route delivery experience in a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
- Meets all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight
Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Reports all safety issues and repairs required
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately reports all safety hazards
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded
- Checks and completes in an accurate and legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach the preloaded trailer as needed
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- Performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- Verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures
- Collects money (cash or checks) where required
- Loads customer returns on to trailer and secures trailer doors
- Ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unloads damaged goods and customer returns and brings to driver check-in and completes necessary paperwork
- Unloads all equipment, materials and removes trash from trailers as required
- Completes daily record of hours of service and enters in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keeps trailers clear and clean as required
- At the end of the shift secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork
- Performs other related duties as assigned
