Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- current DOT medical card
- minimum one year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
- minimum eight months delivery experience preferred
- touch freight handling experience
- capability to lift 5-75+ pounds
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work in multi-temperature environments
- strong customer service skills
- ability to perform vehicle inspections and maintain DOT logs
- compliance with DOT regulations including English proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card
- at least one year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
- minimum eight months delivery experience preferred
- experience with touch freight
- ability to lift between 5 and 75+ pounds
- ability to work in multi-temperature environments such as coolers and freezers
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to complete vehicle inspections and maintain compliance with DOT regulations including reading and speaking English
Job Duties
- Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer on local routes with no layovers
- handle packaged chicken, beef, or pork products with care
- work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
- manage 100% touch freight involving repetitive lifting of 5-75+ lbs
- make 10-15 stops per day on average
- perform overnight driving with dispatch times between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
- complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and comply with all DOT regulations
