Job Description
Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a specialized last-mile distribution company that has been serving the food service industry since its establishment in 2006. As a subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF), QCD operates with a strategic focus on delivering tailored logistics solutions primarily to esteemed foodservice customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD boasts a robust presence in the United States with 25 strategically located distribution centers. Each week, QCD manages over 37,000 deliveries, contributing to an impressive annual fleet mileage of more than 40 million miles. This dynamic operation supports thousands of restaurants nationwide, ensuring that the products they rely on arrive with precision and timeliness. Alongside its core logistics operations, QCD also plays an active role in charitable efforts through the GSF Foundation, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to community support and development.
At QCD, every role is critical to the success of the foodservice supply chain, whether it's preparing orders, managing warehouses, mapping efficient delivery routes, or, crucially, delivering products safely and on time. The company is dedicated not only to providing jobs but to building long-term careers in the foodservice logistics industry with ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement. QCD prides itself on its people-first culture, guided by core values such as respect, integrity, high standards, and a commitment to doing the right thing. This culture fosters an environment where team members are supported, empowered, and motivated to succeed both individually and collectively.
We are currently seeking Class A Delivery Drivers to join our Roseville, Minnesota location. This role is perfect for professional drivers who want stability, career growth, and the opportunity to return home every day without layovers. Drivers are the heartbeat of QCD’s supply chain, delivering packaged food products — including chicken, beef, and pork — with care and professionalism. This position entails operating a diesel-powered tractor-trailer on local routes, primarily during overnight hours, with dispatch times generally between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Drivers average 10-15 delivery stops daily, handling 100% touch freight, and must be able to manage lifting from 5 to 75+ pounds in various temperature-controlled environments such as coolers and freezers.
The work schedule consists of four days per week with the possibility of a fifth, each shift lasting 12-14 hours. Drivers must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24/7 operation. All trailers used are equipped with lift gates, eliminating the need for ramps and enhancing safety during loading and unloading processes. In return for your dedication and skills, QCD offers a competitive compensation package, including a component-based pay structure that typically ranges from $88,000 to $130,000 annually depending on the route and client serviced. Additional hourly pay is provided for training, holiday, sick, and personal time, alongside opportunities for shift differentials and incentives.
Benefits include comprehensive health and wellness plans such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and voluntary insurance options. Retirement benefits through a 401(k) plan, paid time off for vacation and holidays, company-provided uniforms, and work shoes are also standard. QCD is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee can thrive and grow their career in a supportive and values-driven environment. Joining QCD means becoming part of a company that values your contribution, invests in your future, and shares your success.
