The role available is an entry-level driver trainee position focused on learning and gaining experience in safely operating tractor trailer or straight trucks. This role is vital in supporting America’s food distribution system by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products to a variety of customers. The position requires availability up to six days a week, with a 4-5 day workweek schedule, and includes an intensive five-week training program based in Temple, Texas. The driver trainee will engage in both intrastate and interstate routes, including local deliveries, over-the-road (OTR) routes, shuttles, and overnight schedules. The trainee driver will learn through hands-on experience by riding with and assisting experienced drivers during deliveries, performing safety checks, inspecting equipment and freight, and following strict Department of Transportation regulations.
