Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Ability to work early morning shifts and a four-day work week between Monday and Friday
- Physical ability to handle freight weighing up to 90 pounds
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Willingness to comply with DOT regulations
- Pass all required tests and background checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 6 months experience in foodservice distribution
- Clean motor vehicle report for the past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attain or hold current DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates
Job Duties
- Perform pre and post trip safety checks including tractor, truck, and trailer inspections according to DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
- Inspect loads to ensure freight is properly secured and complete accurate paperwork
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to schedule, unload and transport items to customer storage areas
- Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures, collect payments when required
- Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
- Complete logs, perform general housekeeping duties, and secure all equipment at shift end
- Report any safety hazards or needed repairs
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
