Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must have valid CDL-A license
- must be at least 21 years old
- minimum 12 months foodservice or beverage route delivery experience in a class A vehicle
- clean driving record for the past 3 years
- ability to pass drug screening and background check
- ability to pass road test
- valid or obtainable DOT health card
- physical ability to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds
- ability to comply with DOT regulations
- good communication skills
- ability to work early morning shifts
- willingness to adhere to union and company policies
Job Qualifications
- valid CDL-A
- must be 21 years of age or older
- 12 or more months foodservice or beverage route delivery experience in a class A vehicle
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attains or has valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move product cases and freight of varying sizes and weights
Job Duties
- perform all required safety checks including inspections of tractor truck and trailer according to department of transportation regulations
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- immediately report all safety hazards
- inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products loaded
- complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately
- move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules
- unload products and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- perform damage control checks and contact supervisor if needed
- verify delivery and obtain customer signatures
- collect payments where required
- load customer returns and secure trailer doors
- ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- unload damaged goods and returns, complete necessary paperwork
- perform daily records of hours of service and enter logs as required
- perform general housekeeping duties and secure equipment at end of shifts
- perform other related duties as assigned
