The trainee will learn to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight deliveries, both intrastate and interstate. The job involves delivering and unloading food and food-related products safely and efficiently while adhering to all company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.\n\nThe driver trainee supports and accompanies experienced driver trainers on deliveries, following prescribed safety checks and regulatory protocols to ensure both vehicle and freight meet safety standards. They will perform inspections, assist with loading and unloading, secure freight, and maintain proper documentation, all while providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
