As a Yard Jockey Driver at US Foods, you will play an essential role in the efficient movement and management of trailers within the warehouse and distribution yards. This position typically operates during the evening hours Monday through Friday, starting at 4:30 PM until the shift is complete. Yard Jockey Drivers earn a competitive hourly wage of $23.89, with the opportunity for overtime pay, making this a rewarding opportunity for those seeking a stable and dependable career.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with dispatchers and routers to facilitate the movement of trucks, trailers, and loads between buildings. Your daily tasks will include coupling and uncoupling trailers, staging shuttle trailers for delivery drivers, setting up trailers for backhaul loads, and ensuring that equipment is properly prepared for the following day’s deliveries. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and mechanics to maintain the safety and readiness of equipment and ensure operations run smoothly. This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy loads between 20 to 80 pounds repeatedly during the shift and the capability to operate in various weather conditions safely.
