Job Description
Located in Dallas, TX, this opportunity is presented by a company specializing in fuel transportation services. The company operates a modern fleet of tractors and trailers, emphasizing safety, reliability, and efficiency. With a fleet average age of just two years, the company ensures that drivers handle well-maintained, up-to-date equipment to support smooth and secure operations. The company values its employees and offers them steady work with competitive pay, a structured schedule, and comprehensive benefits, establishing itself as a desirable employer in the transportation industry.
This position entails working as a professional tractor-trailer driver responsible for the loading, transport, and delivery of fuel using tanker trailers. Drivers operate within a 250-mile radius of the home terminal, facilitating local runs that allow them to be home daily. The work schedule consists of five days on followed by two days off, then five days on followed by three days off, with shift times scheduled from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This setup ensures drivers have a set routine combined with work-life balance.
Compensation is robust, with the ability to earn $92,000 or more annually and an average weekly gross pay of $1,700. The pay structure includes payment per load and a guarantee pay system, providing financial stability. Additionally, drivers are offered a $1,500 sign-on bonus, quarterly retention and performance bonuses, and a $3,000 incentive for driver referrals. Live dispatch support is available around the clock, ensuring continuous driver assistance and communication.
The role requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, reflecting the specialized nature of transporting hazardous materials safely. Experience operating a 10-speed manual transmission is mandatory since the equipment requires skilled handling to ensure safe delivery. Candidates must have at least one year of recent tractor-trailer driving experience as well as recent fuel delivery experience, emphasizing the importance of familiarity with this niche of logistics.
Beyond the competitive pay and incentives, the company provides comprehensive benefits from day one. These include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid life insurance, paid vacations and holidays, three personal days within the first year, paid orientation and training, and provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE). These benefits underscore the company's commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, supporting their professional growth and job satisfaction.
Overall, this position is ideal for dedicated, safety-conscious drivers with relevant experience who desire steady employment with a supportive employer offering excellent pay and benefits. The combination of a local work area, structured schedule, modern equipment, and comprehensive compensation creates an attractive career opportunity in the Dallas trucking and transportation market.
