The Class A CDL Driver with Tanker and X endorsements at ARG PETRO plays a pivotal role in the company's operations. This position is a full-time role focused on the safe and efficient transportation of fuel products, a responsibility that demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to all regulatory standards, and exceptional customer service skills. The driver will be tasked with loading and unloading fuel using specialized equipment, conducting thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, and maintaining accurate driving logs in strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communication is key in this role, as drivers must coordinate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations. The position requires a proactive attitude toward safety, including the rigorous observance of federal, state, local, and company-specific safety protocols. Drivers will deliver to a diverse range of customer sites, which may involve varying schedules and working conditions, necessitating adaptability and resilience. Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and X (Hazmat) endorsements
  • Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience
  • At least 1 year driving a tanker
  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Willingness to work on a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Current and valid DOT medical card
  • Clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and X (Hazmat) endorsements
  • Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience, with at least 1 year driving a tanker
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, and work extended hours both indoors and outdoors
  • Willingness to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Current and valid DOT medical card
  • Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years)
  • Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Job Duties

  • Load and unload fuel using the truck's transfer pump
  • Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date driving logs in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
  • Deliver product to customer sites including convenience stores, oilfields, trucking companies, railroad yards, drilling rigs, and more
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
