The role of the Class A CDL Hazmat Flatbed Which Driver at ARG PETRO is a vital position responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of fuel products to various customer sites. This position requires a professional driver who not only operates a Class A commercial vehicle with a flatbed trailer but also adheres strictly to federal, state, local, and company safety regulations. The driver will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate driving logs in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and meet specific delivery requirements.

Safety is paramount in this role, given the hazardous nature of the materials being transported. The driver must demonstrate a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safe driving practices. Additionally, this role demands physical capability to lift weights over 50 pounds and flexibility to work extended hours and rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and X (Hazmat) endorsements
  • Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience including 1 year driving a tanker
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • At least 23 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work extended hours indoors and outdoors
  • Willingness to work rotating schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Current and valid DOT medical card
  • Clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
  • Pass background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with a flatbed trailer

  • Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
  • Deliver product to customer sites including convenience stores, oilfields, trucking companies, railroad yards, drilling rigs, and more
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
