Job Description
Koch Trucking is a reputable and family-owned transportation company that forms one of the six divisions under Koch Companies. Known for its comprehensive transportation services, Koch Companies provides truckload freight hauling, logistics solutions, warehousing, and truck and trailer leasing to a wide range of clients. They have a strong commitment to their employees, particularly drivers, which is reflected in the company culture that emphasizes being "Driver Focused". The specialized division of Koch Trucking focuses on hauling specialized equipment such as ATVs and other recreational vehicles using unique, custom decking trailers. This division stands out by offering drivers a lucrative and exciting opportunity to advance their careers with familiar routes that allow them to enjoy bigger paychecks and better work-life balance. Koch Trucking has also earned notable recognitions including being named one of the Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association in 2025 and ranking as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The Class A CDL Driver role in the Specialized Division is an exciting opportunity intended for experienced drivers who want to elevate their driving careers. Starting pay is competitive at $0.58 to $0.60 per mile, with average annual earnings around $85,000. Top performers can reach earnings as high as $95,000, highlighting the financial rewards associated with this role. The position offers weekly home time, which is particularly attractive for drivers seeking a better balance between work and family life. Koch Trucking prioritizes driver comfort and satisfaction by providing all-expenses-paid orientation held in luxury hotels located in Roseville, Minnesota, and Appling, Georgia. The fleet comprises modern trucks, all three years old or newer, with an average age of just 16 months. These trucks, which include Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadias models, feature driver-focused amenities such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wraps, double bunks, and built-in inverters, ensuring a comfortable and efficient driving experience.
Beyond the financial and comfort benefits, Koch Trucking offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes PTO from the first day of employment, three floating holidays each year, health insurance, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage. Drivers also receive a free iPad with a data package to stay connected with their loved ones, a pet and rider policy allowing travel companionship, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and 24/7/365 road service assistance. Additionally, drivers are eligible for a hiring bonus of $3,000 and receive extra pay for drop, stop, and detention times. The company supports its drivers further by providing a drivers lounge stocked with essentials like soap, shampoo, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, laundry soap, and even free pizza and sandwiches. This extensive array of benefits and perks underscores Koch Trucking's commitment to its driver-centric culture, making it an ideal workplace for a dedicated Class A CDL driver seeking growth and recognition on the road.
