Job Description
Koch Trucking is a prominent division within Koch Companies, a multifaceted organization providing comprehensive transportation services. These services include truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing. With a reputation for excellence, Koch Companies has been honored as a 2024 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association, recognized as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and designated as a 2024 Top Food Chain Provider by Food Shippers of America. This establishes Koch Trucking as a reliable and esteemed player in the logistics and transportation industry, attracting a diverse workforce including company drivers, owner-operators, military veterans, and women.
Koch Trucking is currently seeking highly motivated Class A CDL Drivers to join their flatbed division. This role offers a significant opportunity for truck drivers who are looking to maximize their earning potential while working with a company that prioritizes driver comfort, safety, and career development. New to flatbed driving? Koch Trucking provides additional training during orientation to ensure every driver is confident and capable on the road.
As a flatbed driver for Koch Trucking, you will be responsible for hauling oversized flatbed loads across a consistent and steady route. The compensation package is competitive and performance-based, with starting pay ranging from $0.61 to $0.63 per mile depending on experience, an average annual earning potential of $85,000, and top performer earnings reaching up to $95,000. Additional financial incentives include stop pay, securement pay, tarp pay, over dimensional pay with rates from $75 to $200 based on miles, a $400 bonus for any load over 64,000 pounds, and $100 for each loaded border crossing to Canada.
Drivers benefit from impressive home time options, typically being out for 14-21 days based on the driver’s home location, balancing time on the road with time at home. Orientation is conducted at luxury hotels in Roseville, MN, and Appling, GA, with all expenses paid. This reflects the company's commitment to driver welfare and professional onboarding.
Koch Trucking’s flatbed fleet consists of modern, well-equipped trucks that are, on average, 16 months old, including Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadias featuring amenities such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wrap, double bunks, built-in inverters, and various driver-friendly features designed to enhance comfort on long hauls. Drivers are paid weekly and start accruing paid time off immediately, in addition to three floating holidays annually. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401K plan with company match, and travel support through a free iPad with a data package, along with 24/7/365 road service assistance.
Additional perks include a pet and rider policy, a $3,000 referral bonus for bringing in qualified drivers, access to the Rolling Strong driver app, and free driver lounge amenities such as toiletries, laundry soap, and complimentary food items like pizza and sandwiches. This robust benefits package and company culture underscore Koch Trucking’s commitment to hiring and retaining skilled truck drivers who share their standards for safety, professionalism, and service quality.
