Job Description

Koch Trucking, a prominent division under the Koch Companies umbrella, is a well-established family-owned trucking enterprise that has been in operation for over 40 years. Renowned for its commitment to driver satisfaction and work-life balance, Koch Trucking focuses on providing high-quality transportation services with a strong emphasis on dedicated routes. As part of a larger transportation network, Koch Companies offers a comprehensive range of services including truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing, establishing themselves as an industry leader with a robust infrastructure and a forward-thinking approach. Their dedication to employee well-being and operational excellence has earned them several accolades, including being named a 2025 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association, and recognized as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Currently, Koch Trucking is seeking Class A CDL Drivers to join their Dedicated Division as utility drivers. This role centers around driving dedicated routes primarily based in the Midwest, offering drivers the opportunity to develop familiarity with routes and customers, thus fostering a stable and predictable work environment. The dedicated route program is designed to ensure consistent, steady miles and balances a professional driving career with valuable personal time by promoting weekend home time and out-time of 10 to 14 days. Utility drivers provide essential support by learning multiple dedicated fleets and filling in as needed, offering variety and opportunity within a structured framework.

The position is classified under a utility driver role in a dedicated dry van fleet and requires night driving. Koch Trucking guarantees pay of $1,600 weekly, with a starting pay rate of $0.60 per mile and an additional $25 per stop on multi-stop loads. A hiring bonus of $1,500 is also offered to eligible applicants. Drivers can expect comprehensive support beginning with an all-expenses-paid orientation held in luxury hotels located in Roseville, MN, and Appling, GA, showcasing the company’s dedication to providing an outstanding onboarding experience. The fleet features modern equipment with trucks averaging 16 months old, including Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadias, equipped with driver-friendly amenities such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtains, double bunks, built-in inverters, and more, creating a comfortable and efficient driving work environment.

Beyond competitive compensation and advanced equipment, Koch Trucking’s culture is deeply rooted in being "Family Owned, Driver Focused." This focus translates into tangible benefits for drivers such as paid time off (PTO) starting immediately, with the addition of three floating holidays annually, a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. Communication and connectivity are prioritized, with drivers receiving a free iPad complete with a data package. Further support includes a pet and rider policy to accommodate drivers' companions on the road, plus 24/7/365 roadside assistance, ensuring safety and peace of mind.

Koch Trucking also offers a unique company culture that includes available driver lounges stocked with essentials like soap, shampoo, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, laundry soap, and even pizza and sandwiches, creating a sense of community and care for their drivers. The Rolling Strong driver app is part of the technological resources for engagement and management. Additionally, there is a generous referral bonus program for drivers who bring qualified candidates into the family.

Ideal candidates for the Class A CDL Driver position will be at least 22 years old, possess a valid Class A CDL license, and have a minimum of one year of Class A CDL over-the-road (OTR) or regional driving experience. The company seeks experienced drivers with stable work histories and clean driving records, actively encouraging applications from company drivers, owner-operators, military veterans, and women. Equal opportunity employment is a firm policy, reflecting the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Joining Koch Trucking means becoming part of a respected and award-winning transportation company that values its drivers as essential team members. If you want a career that offers excellent pay, home time, a modern fleet, and a supportive work environment, Koch Trucking’s dedicated division is an ideal place to grow and succeed.
