The role available is for a CDL-A Delivery Driver, a critical position within the food supply chain that ensures timely and safe delivery of food and related products to customers. This position offers competitive pay with earnings starting at $75,000 plus in the first year, featuring a Monday through Friday work schedule with early morning starts, no nights or weekend shifts, and local routes. Additional incentives include a $7,500 hiring bonus for eligible candidates. As a CDL-A Driver at Performance Foodservice, you will operate tractor trailers or straight trucks to transport food products on various routes including intrastate, interstate, local shuttle, and overnight deliveries. Your responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of safety by adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring that all products are delivered accurately and in good condition. You act as the frontline representative of the company, fostering strong relationships with customers by providing professional, courteous service.

Your day-to-day tasks encompass conducting pre and post-trip vehicle inspections; verifying freight counts and customer invoices; safely loading and unloading products; managing product returns and damage control; securing vehicles and freight; and completing all required DOT and company paperwork accurately. The role also involves safeguarding company equipment and maintaining cleanliness in trailers and loading areas.
