Job Description

Core-Mark is a leading distributor in the convenience retail industry, recognized across North America for its comprehensive range of consumer goods marketing solutions. As a company deeply committed to empowering its customers, employees, and communities, Core-Mark has consistently maintained a reputation for excellence and innovation in foodservice distribution. With a presence in both the United States and Canada, it serves as a critical link in the supply chain, ensuring that convenience stores are stocked with fresh, broadline products vital to their operations and customer satisfaction.

Core-Mark is currently seeking dedicated Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers, essential contributors to the company’s supply chain operations. These drivers play a pivotal role in delivering food and food-related products in a timely and safe manner, reinforcing Core-Mark's promise of reliability and quality service. Positioned as the company's representative, drivers not only ensure the safe transport of goods but also build and foster lasting customer relationships, acting as the face of Core-Mark in the field.

This full-time position involves a schedule of four 10-hour shifts weekly, offering competitive pay at $28.98 per hour. Benefits begin from day one and include health and wellness coverage, an employee stock purchase plan, RRSP options, paid direct drug card, scholarship opportunities for children of associates, paid time off, and more, highlighting Core-Mark's commitment to its workforce.

The delivery driver role is multifaceted, requiring the individual to navigate local and national highways while managing routes that may include over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop activities. Drivers are tasked with performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining electronic driving logs, and ensuring compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations.

Customer interaction is also a critical element of the role. Drivers communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, addressing inquiries promptly and serving as Core-Mark representatives at each delivery account. Responsibilities extend to unloading products, assisting customer service and buyers, handling credits, and processing payments as per company policies.

Core-Mark fosters a safe and inclusive working environment characterized by a culture of reward, recognition, and respect. The company’s equal employment opportunity stance reinforces its dedication to diversity and inclusivity across all employment aspects.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in essential roles supporting the food distribution system, offering strong growth opportunities alongside a safe, respectful work culture. Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL, demonstrate a clean motor vehicle record, pass necessary road and background checks, and possess the physical ability to manage product weight and equipment. Preferred candidates will have additional commercial driving experience, familiarity with electronic logging devices, and knowledge of the foodservice distribution industry.

Joining Core-Mark means becoming part of a vital network that fuels the convenience retail industry, providing the opportunity to contribute significantly to North America's food supply and customer satisfaction.
