Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is a leading distributor dedicated to providing fresh and broad-line solutions to the convenience retail industry. As a part of a Fortune 150 company with over $23 billion in revenue, Core-Mark has established itself as a major player in the food distribution sector across the United States and Canada. The company's extensive network of distribution centers delivers a complete range of products, programs, and services to meet the diverse needs of its customers. Core-Mark prides itself on fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment that emphasizes employee growth, safety, and recognition. The company offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits that start from day one, including health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. This commitment to employee well-being and career development underpins Core-Mark's ability to deliver exceptional service as the backbone of America’s food supply chain.

The Delivery Driver - Supply Chain Management (SCM) role at Core-Mark is essential in keeping the nation’s food distribution running smoothly. Drivers in this position are responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks to transport food and food-service products to customers on various route types, including intrastate, interstate, local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight deliveries. This position typically involves day routes with dispatch times between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, and drivers are compensated not just for time but also for miles, stops, and unloading efforts, offering an average earning potential of up to $75,000 annually.

The driver role is much more than transportation; it is a customer-facing position that requires building lasting relationships through professionalism, punctuality, and precise communication. Employees in this role perform critical safety inspections of their equipment, ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, handle freight with care to avoid damage, and complete accurate documentation to streamline operations. Safety and reliability are paramount, with drivers conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting hazards immediately, and securing loads properly to protect both the cargo and others on the road.

Aside from driving and delivery, the SCM driver assists with loading and unloading freight, ensuring products are placed in designated areas and managing return items when necessary. Drivers maintain daily records of service hours and uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the tractor and loading areas. This position offers individuals an opportunity to engage in meaningful work with career growth paths while being supported by a safety-focused and respectful workplace culture. Core-Mark's equal opportunity principles guarantee a work environment free from discrimination and dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligned with all applicable laws and policies.
