Job Description
Our client is a reputable regional dry van carrier known for providing reliable and steady freight services across multiple regions including Texas, Oklahoma, the Southeast, the Midwest, and the Northeast. This company specializes exclusively in dry van freight, ensuring a no-touch freight experience for its drivers 100% of the time, with 65% of loads operated as drop and hook. This operational approach not only enhances efficiency but also offers drivers less physical strain, which contributes to a safer and more comfortable working environment. The business has cultivated a strong reputation for understanding driver needs, maintaining steady freight without over-hiring, and prioritizing driver satisfaction and work-life balance. Full-time, regional driving positions are available, offering competitive wages that average between $1300 and $1700 per week, depending on driving productivity and geographic assignments.
The role on offer focuses on regional dry van driving where drivers will operate routes primarily through Texas, Oklahoma, the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast. Drivers have the opportunity to home every week while also taking both their truck and trailer home, provided they have adequate space for the trailer as it cannot be detached from the tractor unit. One of the most attractive features of this role includes the compensation structure which rewards drivers with a base rate of $0.53 cents per mile. In addition, drivers can earn bonuses that increase their per-mile pay up to $0.62 cents based on mileage thresholds ranging from 9,000 to 11,000 miles per month. Furthermore, any freight that is delivered within the northeastern states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, and North regions will earn an additional $0.25 per mile, and deliveries to New York City or Long Island come with a $125 bonus, although there is no forced dispatch to these locations.
This company provides comprehensive benefits after just 30 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401K plan starting after 90 days. Vacation pay is competitive and is calculated based on the average pay for the driver’s previous 52 weeks of earnings. The policy of allowing riders begins after 30 days of employment, while drivers can bring pets, specifically dogs not weighing more than 50 pounds, from day one, with a restriction on some breeds. Orientation is compensated at $250 provided the driver completes the required online training portion. The company takes driver safety very seriously and enforces strict hiring guidelines to ensure all drivers comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) drug testing standards, safety records, and driving experience requirements. This is a great opportunity for professional drivers seeking a regional position with consistent freight, attractive pay, and excellent benefits.
