6 months to 1 year dishwashing experience in a high volume food and beverage environment

6 months to 1 year dishwashing experience in a high volume food and beverage environment

Job Duties

Move with a sense of urgency by sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and placing them in racks to send through dish machine or wash them by hand as needed
Change and refresh dishwater in dish machine frequently
assemble and disassemble dish machine
set up or break down dishwashing area
fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety and temperature standards
Sort and stack clean dishes
carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas
rewash soiled dishes before delivering if necessary
Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
sweep trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
clean and roll or unroll mats
complete all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned
Promote and provide extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests
answer questions, offer information, and provide assistance in a courteous manner
Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies are upheld
Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, following all company guidelines and protocols
Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere
Provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult interactions
Maintain a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues of all ages
Perform other duties as assigned
