Job Description

Cicis Pizza is a well-established pizza buffet restaurant chain with over 420 locations across 32 states, continuing to expand its footprint nationwide. Known for providing a wide variety of quality pizzas and fresh ingredients in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, Cicis Pizza has built a loyal customer base by delivering value and excellent service. As a leading name in the fast-casual dining industry, Cicis emphasizes teamwork, quality, and customer satisfaction, making it a compelling place to build a career within the restaurant sector. The company supports its employees through structured training programs and a work environment that encourages growth and development. Cicis Pizza operates as a non-exempt, hourly employer and is committed to compliance with employment verification standards as an E-Verify company.

The Shift Leader role at Cicis Pizza is a vital operational position that requires individuals who are passionate about leading teams and ensuring efficient restaurant operations. In this position, the Shift Leader is responsible for directing all aspects of shift operations, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, staffing, and adherence to company standards. This role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery. Shift Leaders must demonstrate exemplary operational skills by ensuring every product served meets Cicis' high-quality standards and by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment. They must maintain adequate shift staffing levels and train team members to exceed guest expectations by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service.

Shift Leaders at Cicis serve as the communication bridge between management and staff, promoting quality standards using available tools such as the Cicis Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook. A significant part of the role involves monitoring sales goals and profit margins by using point-of-sale systems effectively, managing inventory to minimize waste, and executing cash management duties accurately. The ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically and to solicit and utilize guest feedback actively contributes to building brand loyalty and improving operational performance. These leaders work during nights, weekends, and under varying schedules, including emergency situations, highlighting the need for flexibility and dedication.

An important attribute for a successful Shift Leader is the capability to independently lead a team during shifts without direct supervision. Candidates should be at least 18 years old, possess reliable transportation, and be willing and able to work long and sometimes irregular hours. Additional qualifications include being bilingual in certain markets, competence in handling phones and computers, and successfully passing a background check as a condition of employment. Overall, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values leadership, customer service, and operational excellence.
