Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- must have good vision including close vision and ability to adjust focus
- willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
- ability to work in environments with temperature variations
- must be able to perform physical tasks including walking, reaching, and handling kitchen tools
- availability to work flexible hours including some weekends or holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment beneficial
- knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
- ability to operate kitchen equipment and tools
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- basic math skills for handling POS transactions
- ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to schedules
Job Duties
- Prepares and serves food according to menus and portion sizes as mandated by yield guides
- performs cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and pot washing
- brews coffee and fills beverage machines
- sets up hot and/or cold food areas
- delivers food to staff, students, and catering events when necessary
- complies with all state, federal, and local health department food safety requirements
- follows client location security protocols and guidelines
- checks and stores incoming supplies
- follows assigned break schedules
- collects and strips trays for dishwashing
- participates in ware washing
- stores silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, and pots
- participates on safety committee
- attends mandatory in-service programs
- manages POS and cash handling if applicable
