Job Requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods
able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
must have good vision including close vision and ability to adjust focus
willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
ability to work in environments with temperature variations
must be able to perform physical tasks including walking, reaching, and handling kitchen tools
availability to work flexible hours including some weekends or holidays

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment beneficial
knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
ability to operate kitchen equipment and tools
strong teamwork and communication skills
basic math skills for handling POS transactions
ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to schedules

Job Duties

Prepares and serves food according to menus and portion sizes as mandated by yield guides
performs cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and pot washing
brews coffee and fills beverage machines
sets up hot and/or cold food areas
delivers food to staff, students, and catering events when necessary
complies with all state, federal, and local health department food safety requirements
follows client location security protocols and guidelines
checks and stores incoming supplies
follows assigned break schedules
collects and strips trays for dishwashing
participates in ware washing
stores silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, and pots
participates on safety committee
attends mandatory in-service programs
manages POS and cash handling if applicable
