Job Description

TCHO is a renowned chocolate manufacturing company known for its dedication to producing high-quality chocolate products through sustainable Direct Trade sourcing and innovative manufacturing techniques. As a company deeply committed to education and community engagement, TCHO has developed an interactive Factory Tour & Events program that offers visitors an immersive experience into the brand's history, mission, and processes. Located at their factory site, these tours and events provide customers with a unique opportunity to learn about chocolate production firsthand while enjoying exclusive promotions and merchandise. TCHO is currently seeking a passionate and customer-focused Chocolate Factory Tour Guide to join their Marketing team in a part-time capacity, offering an hourly wage between $24 and $26.

The Chocolate Factory Tour Guide plays a pivotal role bridging the Marketing and Production teams by managing the daily operations of factory tours, events, and the connected factory store. This position's mission is to deliver an exceptional and consistent customer experience aligned with TCHO’s brand values. The role involves overseeing staffing, scheduling, sales, and merchandising while ensuring visitors gain a comprehensive understanding of TCHO’s history, mission, Direct Trade sourcing, manufacturing processes, and products. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality service standards, providing educational and engaging tours, managing ticket reservations, and supporting promotional efforts in collaboration with the Marketing team.

As the operational lead on Factory Tours and Events, the Tour Guide ensures that all activities—from ticketing and staffing to sales and merchandising—run smoothly to maximize revenue while enhancing brand visibility. The individual must cultivate an environment where visitors feel welcomed, informed, and inspired by the story of TCHO chocolate. Additionally, the role demands a creative retail eye to uphold high visual merchandising standards in the Factory Tour store, where visitors enjoy special discounts after their tours. This involves active inventory management and sales monitoring to support both the store and overall tour experiences.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in highly public-facing roles such as event marketing, tour guiding, teaching, or instructing. They should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage visitors and retail team members. Flexibility is vital given the need to work during morning weekday hours and occasional weekends or holidays, especially during peak periods. Physical capability is also necessary to manage merchandise and materials weighing up to 30 pounds.

This non-exempt, part-time position offers flexible hours typically scheduled between 9 am and 1 pm, aligning with the factory’s operation hours for tours and events. An hourly wage in the range of $24 to $26 reflects the importance of the role in enhancing visitor experience and contributing to TCHO’s ongoing success in the competitive chocolate industry. Joining TCHO means becoming part of a dedicated team focused on sustainability, community education, and premium chocolate craftsmanship, with opportunities for growth and impact within the company's dynamic environment.
