Job Requirements

18 years of age or older (21 if responsible for driving a van)
high school diploma or GED
pass required state and company background checks
relevant experience in licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
ability to lift and move weights between 10 to 40 lbs
able to stand for 95% of the workday
comply with immunizations, physical screenings, and health training
physically and mentally react immediately to unexpected circumstances

knowledge of nutritional meal planning
ability to follow health and safety regulations

Job Duties

Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals
ensure kitchen cleanliness and comply with sanitation requirements
oversee kitchen operations including menu development
maintain health and safety standards
interact with suppliers for inventory control
