Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older (21 if responsible for driving a van)
  • high school diploma or GED
  • pass required state and company background checks
  • relevant experience in licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
  • ability to lift and move weights between 10 to 40 lbs
  • able to stand for 95% of the workday
  • comply with immunizations, physical screenings, and health training
  • physically and mentally react immediately to unexpected circumstances

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff

  • ensure kitchen cleanliness and comply with sanitation requirements
  • oversee kitchen operations including menu development
  • maintain health and safety standards
  • interact with suppliers for inventory control
