Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- valid South Dakota driver’s license
- post-offer drug screening and physical required funded by the district
- adherence to South Dakota sanitation and health guidelines
- flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 6:15 am to 2:15 pm with working lunch
- willingness to comply with all safety procedures and food handling regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- vocational training desirable in chef’s training or any associate degree program in a related field
- experience in food preparation or child nutrition services preferred
- ability to follow detailed recipes and safety standards
- effective communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- valid South Dakota driver’s license
Job Duties
- Prepares cooked foods such as main dishes, vegetables, sauces and gravies
- keeps production records for preparation and serving of all food used
- washes all small equipment after completion of task and in accordance with South Dakota sanitation and health guidelines
- adjusts recipes for varying quantities
- keeps work area clean with guidelines of South Dakota sanitation health regulations
- stores leftover food according to proper storage and safety procedures
- evaluates menu items for product standards
- follows safety procedures in the use of all equipment
- performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
