Job Requirements
- Pass required state and company background checks
- Meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- Comply with all applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements
- Ability to work the specified part-time hours Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required
- Willingness to work in an early education/preschool child care center environment
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required
- Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen preferred
- Food service/food handler permit or license according to state/local regulations required
- Ability to follow health and safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Lead in planning and preparing nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
- Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
- Lead prepping and preparing meals
- Ensure cleaning and comply with sanitation requirements
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
- Assist with food service documentation and reporting
