Big Blue Marble Academy is committed to supporting employees in reaching their career goals while contributing meaningfully to the development and wellbeing of children from infancy through to school age. The center values diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all applicants are considered fairly without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability. This commitment extends into every aspect of the organization’s operations, fostering a family-like environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and mutual support.
The Early Childcare Center Chef position at Big Blue Marble Academy offers a unique opportunity to combine culinary skills with a passion for child development by preparing and serving nutritious, homestyle meals tailored specifically for young children. Working as an Early Childcare Center Chef means being an essential part of the team that contributes directly to the health and satisfaction of the children served each day. The position follows a scheduled shift from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, providing consistency and work-life balance for the chosen candidate. Beyond the role’s core responsibilities, employees enjoy competitive wages, flexible scheduling options, and numerous benefits that demonstrate the organization’s commitment to employee wellbeing, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, and a 401K retirement plan.
The role requires expertise in food processing and safety, with an emphasis on operating both standard and commercial kitchen equipment to deliver meals that meet the highest nutrition standards. Maintaining impeccable kitchen hygiene and safety protocols is paramount, ensuring all food preparation areas are clean and compliant with health regulations. The ability to adapt menus for children of various ages from infancy to school-age is another important aspect, guaranteeing that dietary requirements and preferences are met with care and attention.
Big Blue Marble Academy places strong emphasis on professional development, offering career advancement opportunities and scholarships for continuous education, such as the CDA Scholarship. Employees also benefit from real-time access to their wages, voluntary life and disability insurance options, health savings accounts, and an industry-leading paid time off program.
