As a Cook at Bright Horizons, you will play a vital role in creating nutritious, family-style meals that support the health, growth, and learning of children enrolled in our childcare centers. Your role goes beyond meal preparation; it involves crafting a warm and predictable routine that contributes to a positive childcare environment. Each day, you will be responsible for planning and preparing balanced meals and snacks that follow approved menus and nutritional guidelines tailored to children's dietary needs. Working closely with center staff, you will ensure smooth meal service by managing food and supply inventories and placing orders with approved vendors. Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment is crucial, as you will adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, allergy management, and health protocols prescribed by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. The role requires physical stamina for lifting supplies, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive kitchen and cleaning tasks. This position requires compliance with immunizations, physical screening, and health and safety training to guarantee the safety of both children and staff.

Bright Horizons offers competitive compensation for this position, with hourly rates ranging between $14.45 and $16.50, commensurate with your experience, education, and certifications.
