Job Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Pilot ASEL with 1500 total flight hours including specific category hours
  • minimum of 20 flight hours in last 12 months in aircraft similar to Caravan
  • tactical aircraft or equivalent operation experience
  • current Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
  • 8+ years in professional flight operations
  • 2+ years performing or managing flight test programs
  • willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

Job Qualifications

  • FAA Commercial Pilot ASEL certificate with required flight hours
  • experience in tactical or similar multi-task flight operations
  • current Second Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher
  • 8+ years of professional flight operations experience
  • 2+ years experience in flight test program management or aviation leadership
  • graduate of SETP recognized flight test school (preferred)
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
  • Caravan or PT6A experience (preferred)
  • experience as CFI or military flight instructor (preferred)
  • experience with automated or remotely operated vehicles (preferred)
  • knowledge of FAA certification processes
  • familiarity with software programming principles
  • demonstrated leadership capabilities

Job Duties

  • Serve as primary experimental test pilot
  • coordinate training and scheduling of contract pilots
  • ensure safety and success of all experimental flight operations
  • develop and execute flight test plans in collaboration with engineering teams
  • coordinate with Part 135 airline operations for pilot procedure standardization
  • contribute to the development of aviation safety systems
  • manage experimental flight operations with emphasis on compliance and safety
