The Chief Steward role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. As Chief Steward, you will lead and supervise a dedicated stewarding team, driving excellent performance and maintaining rigorous sanitation protocols. This role includes managing the receipt and storage of all perishable and non-perishable food items, as well as small wares, cleaning supplies, and chemicals essential to kitchen operations. You will oversee inventory control, purchasing, and proper storage of kitchen and dining equipment and supplies to ensure operational efficiency.
The Chief Steward is also tasked with developing and implementing policies and procedures for the cleaning and maintenance of all food service areas. This involves preparing and managing budgets that ensure the best utilization of resources while maintaining high standards. Regular staff training is an important part of the role, ensuring the team meets safety and quality standards consistently. Handling customer complaints with professionalism and ensuring swift resolution to maintain satisfaction is also critical. In addition, the Chief Steward must ensure timely and accurate reporting and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties
- Lead and supervise the stewarding team ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Receiving and storage of all perishable and non-perishable food items as well as all small wares cleaning supplies and chemicals
- Oversee the inventory purchase and storage of kitchen and dining equipment and supplies
- Ensure that all food service areas are clean organized and well-maintained at all times
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for proper cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen and dining areas
- Prepare and manage budgets ensuring proper utilization of resources
- Conduct regular staff training to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Handle customer complaints and ensure swift resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all required records and documentation
