Job Description
5 Senses Hospitality Management is a hospitality company dedicated to creating memorable experiences by engaging all five senses of their guests and team members. The company believes in genuine acts of hospitality that touch hearts, welcome anyone who walks through their doors, and enhance every moment with thoughtful attention and care. 5 Senses is committed to doing hospitality in a new way by fostering an environment where both guests and employees feel valued and inspired. The culture is rooted in listening, anticipating needs, and responding with warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every interaction is meaningful and impactful.
Joining 5 Senses means becoming part of a passionate team focused on delivering exceptional guest services and creating a supportive workplace atmosphere. They are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee their maintenance department within their hotel properties. This is a full-time role that involves managing a team, scheduling and assigning maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and ensuring the physical integrity of the hotel’s facilities. The Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems to guarantee their optimal function, safety, and compliance with brand standards.
The role demands strong leadership qualities to empower team members toward success and professional growth. It requires the ability to anticipate guest needs and proactively coordinate services without prompting. The Maintenance Manager must maintain organized and secure storage of all tools and implements while ensuring preventative maintenance measures are in place. Financial responsibility is key, as the position entails managing budgets carefully and communicating any unexpected repairs or expenses to the general manager.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of maintenance experience, possess effective communication skills, and be comfortable using computers and management software. Trade or technical certifications are an advantage but not strictly required. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to general management practices and be ready to embrace the leadership role fully, including participating in the Property’s Manager on Duty program when needed. Flexibility to respond to after-hours calls and work on nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
5 Senses Management is devoted to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace with equal employment opportunities. They uphold strict policies against discrimination and harassment, ensuring that all team members are treated with respect and dignity throughout their employment. This role offers numerous benefits to support employee wellness and work-life balance, including competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, bonus opportunities, and various programs aimed at career development and recognition. Candidates will have the chance to grow their careers in a supportive, dynamic environment where hospitality truly means touching the heart of every guest and team member.
