Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in food service or related supervisory role
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Completion of or willingness to complete a sanitation course within the first year
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain emotional control and resolve interpersonal conflicts
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets including production sheets and recipes
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and department requirements
  • Ensure food items are stored safely, organized and hazard-free
  • Maintain all serving schedules ensuring food is served per menu specifications and company policies
  • Maintain a sanitary department complying with health and safety codes and regulations
  • Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • Prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, counsel, and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor other food service workers
  • Maintain maintenance logs for equipment within the department
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with necessary corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacements as needed
  • Handle multitasking efficiently
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • Coordinate daily catering events ensuring timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff via various channels
  • Perform cashier duties as required
  • Promote good public relations
