Job Description
CorePower Yoga is the nation’s largest yoga studio brand, boasting over 200 locations nationwide as well as offering digital livestream and on-demand classes. The company is renowned for its fusion of intense physical workouts rooted in the mindfulness of yoga, making yoga accessible and empowering for a diverse range of students. CorePower Yoga is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community and a welcoming space that uplifts and inspires those who walk into its studios, emphasizing holistic wellness and transformation. At its heart, CorePower prioritizes its people, believing that the strength and passion of its team are what truly power its purpose. The work environment reflects the balance, empowerment, and community found in its yoga classes, promoting an inclusive culture where individuals can grow, thrive, and bring their authentic selves to work. CorePower Yoga maintains a steadfast commitment to its core values: empowering everyone, practicing gratitude, building community, growing forward, and laughing together. These values serve as guiding principles for the company’s culture and operations, ensuring meaningful connections beyond the transactional and focusing on making a positive impact in people's lives.
The District Manager role at CorePower Yoga is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing a district comprising multiple CorePower Yoga studios. This full-time position focuses on driving the financial growth and profitability of the district, while delivering an exceptional yoga experience aligned with the company’s mission and standards. A District Manager acts as a leader of leaders, mentoring and developing a diverse team of studio leaders who support the students and communities within their studios. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing district-level strategies to meet financial, operational, and student service goals tailored to the strengths and needs of each studio, managing business operations through analytics and strategic planning, and ensuring cost management and expense control. The position requires active collaboration with senior leadership and the execution of remote operating systems that enhance team cohesion across the district.
Operational excellence and branding are central to this role. The District Manager ensures that studios consistently deliver a world-class yoga experience, maintaining high standards of quality and aligning with CorePower’s mission. This includes facilitating effective communication, coaching, monitoring health and safety protocols, and supporting physical asset management, including vendor relations and maintenance. The role also emphasizes leadership in team engagement, recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning, establishing a high-performing and rewarding work environment. Additionally, the District Manager leads learning and development workshops, including advanced yoga training and leadership development, and participates in company-wide hiring initiatives and teacher trainings.
Ideal candidates demonstrate proven leadership in building and retaining high-performing teams within fitness, hospitality, or service industries and exemplify CorePower’s core values. Excellent communication skills, the ability to foster relationships with diverse personalities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, as is completion of a Yoga Alliance 200-hour teacher training. At least three years of experience in multi-unit leadership roles, preferably within CorePower Yoga or similar organizations, is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer applications is required.
This role is based in Chicago and requires the ability to commute within the local market and occasionally out of state for company events. A reliable transportation means daily travel between studios is essential. The position requires flexibility in work hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the physical ability to move within the studio space and actively attend classes. In return, CorePower Yoga offers a competitive annual salary of $80,000 to $90,000, bonus potential up to 25%, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and complimentary membership access for employees and a guest to all CorePower studios. The company fosters a culture of continuous education, wellness, and community engagement, making it an outstanding opportunity for leaders passionate about yoga, wellness, and transformative leadership.
