Job Description

This job description details the role of a Chica (Hostess) in a restaurant setting, emphasizing exceptional service and hospitality. The establishment likely focuses on creating memorable dining experiences through attentive customer interactions and a vibrant atmosphere. As a hostess, the individual serves as the first and last point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their overall experience while also enhancing sales through suggestive selling of food and beverages. This position is integral to the front-of-house operations, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

The hiring establishment is a dynamic restaurant environment where hospitality and customer satisfaction are paramount. This restaurant prides itself on delivering best-in-class service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued from the moment they enter until they leave. The role of the Chica is multifaceted, combining elements of customer service, sales, and restaurant management support. As the initial face of the restaurant, the Chica is responsible for greeting and entertaining guests, answering questions about menu items, and maintaining a welcoming and clean atmosphere. The hostess also manages reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize server availability and guest satisfaction.

Beyond greeting guests and managing seating, the Chica contributes to the restaurant's profitability by promoting current events and specials and encouraging guests to try featured food and beverages. The hostess’s responsibilities extend to ensuring that the dining area remains tidy, helping with food and drink service, taking orders when necessary, and providing attentive follow-up to guests to enhance their dining experience. The role demands excellent multitasking abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively with the restaurant team to uphold high standards of service and hospitality.

In addition to direct customer interactions, the Chica must comply with the restaurant's image and costume guidelines, presenting a professional and polished appearance at all times. This role requires a proactive approach to guest engagement, anticipating needs, and handling any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. As the last point of contact, the Chica must leave guests with a memorable farewell, inviting them to return and ensuring their overall satisfaction.

This is a pivotal front-of-house role that blends customer service, sales, and operational responsibilities. Ideal candidates are outgoing, personable, and thrive in a fast-paced social environment. They should possess a strong knowledge of the menu to assist guests effectively and promote sales. Effective communication skills are crucial, as is an ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure. The Chica represents the brand and is instrumental in driving guest loyalty and enhancing the restaurant's reputation.l
