The role of the Chica (Hostess) is crucial in setting the tone for guests' experiences from the moment they walk through the door. As the first point of contact, the Chica is responsible for interacting with guests, providing outstanding hospitality, and representing the restaurant's image with professionalism and enthusiasm. This position combines customer service with salesmanship, as the Chica actively promotes food and beverage offerings and special events to enhance the guest experience and contribute to the restaurant’s profitability. The role also requires managing phone calls, taking reservations, and seating guests based on server availability, making communication skills and attention to detail essential. The Chica is both a welcoming ambassador and a gracious farewell to patrons, ensuring that every visit ends positively and guests are encouraged to return. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong attention to detail
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • friendly and approachable demeanor

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all image and costume guidelines
  • interact with and entertain guests
  • promote events and specials to enhance goodwill and profitability
  • provide best-in-class service and hospitality by greeting guests, executing food and drink orders including taking and ringing in orders, suggestive selling, delivering food and drinks, checking back for re-orders, pre-bussing, and settling checks
  • answer phones and take reservations
  • seat guests according to server availability
  • maintain cleanliness of the restaurant
  • wish guests farewell and invite them to return
  • perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management
