Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • minimum of one year restaurant or senior living or equivalent cooking experience
  • ability to follow dietary guidelines and food safety standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work weekends and various shifts
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • culinary degree preferred
  • minimum of one year restaurant or senior living or equivalent cooking experience
  • batch cooking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and produce food options from our menu in a manner compliant with required nutritional and dietary criteria
  • correctly prepare meals for residents with dietary restrictions, following our policies and procedures
  • exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization in the workspace and with equipment
  • meet food quality, timeliness, appearance and presentation standards at all times
  • interact with residents periodically to gather feedback about meal quality, temperature, appearance, and share feedback with culinary team to support continuous improvement
  • represent the community in a warm and inviting manner with colleagues, residents, families and tours
